My husband and I packed up and moved after he retired in 2015. We chose to relocate in Central Oregon for several reasons, but the beauty of the area is one of the main reasons. I started This Central Oregon Life because there is just so much to share. As I discovered more about the area, I became more enamoured with it. There is so much to see and do! Central Oregon is considered the high desert, but don’t let that fool you – the beautiful Deschutes River flows year round, and it winds in and out of all parts of the area. Gorgeous lakes are plenty, as are waterfalls, reservoirs and hidden watering holes.
Winters are mostly mild, but we have had a couple of very snowy winters since we have been here. We also chose this area as we have friends that retired here prior to us.
I stay very busy here and I am often out and about. I can be found in the yard building rock gardens, or just mulling over ideas of things I’d like to do on our property. The list is never endingI wanted to share my experiences with you with places to eat, things to see and do and much more.
