Geno’s Italian Grill is the only Italian restaurant in Redmond, Oregon. This restaurant brings impressive food and great service to Central Oregon.
This fine dining establishment is located at the very north end of town, where there aren’t many other eateries, other than a few fast food places.
When the restaurant opened it was a very welcome addition to the area, mostly because there weren’t (and still aren’t) any Italian restaurants around.

First impression of Geno’s Italian Grill
The Atmosphere
The restaurant has a very nice ambiance and it is very welcoming. Upon walking in, we were treated to the scent of garlic. That is always a good sign when you set foot in an Italian restaurant! The décor is attractive with a subtle Italian vibe, without being overdone.
The Food
Here is a look at their menu.

Our Choices
My husband had the Stromboli Calzone which had a handmade crust with surrounding a filling of pepperoni, Italian Sausage, onions, pizza sauce and mozzarella cheese. It normally comes with green bell peppers too, but we asked them to hold the peppers, as my husband is not a fan of them. The Stromboli Calzone was $13.

Lemon Chicken Linguine I couldn’t resist ordering this dish, as I love anything and everything lemon flavored! This entrée had a creamy lemon sauce over tender linguini noodles, and they were topped with freshly breaded chicken breast.

The chicken breast was huge and really tender. I always worry that the portions might be small, but there was no need to worry here. I actually took half of it home and saved it for lunch the following day. It was served with garlic bread. The Lemon Chicken Linguine dinner was $18. This seemed like a fair price to me.

We ordered Caesar Salads to go with our dinners and they were a decent size, and the flavors were good, but nothing extraordinary. I have had some pretty amazing Caesar Salads in my time, and these were just average in my opinion. It would be nice if they were included with the meal.
Geno’s has an attractive full bar as well. If you are just looking for a cocktail or two, you might consider stopping in here. If you are on a date, or date night with your spouse, this is a great alternative to a little bar on the corner.
The Service
Our server was very friendly and came around just often enough to make sure we had everything we needed. She didn’t make appearances so often that it interrupted our conversation (I don’t much care for that). She was on top of things and knew the menu well, and was able to offer thoughtful recommendations.
Final Thoughts
We really loved everything about Geno’s Italian Grill in Redmond, Oregon! The atmosphere, the food, the service and the all around good feeling has kept us coming back, unlike a less pleasant experience we had elsewhere. Our experiences there have been consistent, and that often is not the case with restaurants.
They used to only be open for dinner, but recently Geno’s Italian Grill has expanded their hours to include lunch. Smart idea!
